it sucks when your creation turn to a disaster
It sucks when you create something beautiful but a small mistake ruins the whole thing. Since I'm new to resin I made some mistakes on the way but not all my work turn out a disaster.
I tried to sand it down and put a fresh coat of resin but still came out sticky. I know why. One coaster is sticky still, the other crack. But the rest is ok. The first four was supposed to be a set of coasters but now it's going to be three. I told myself I can't sell this but it can be used for a piece of art and a remembrance of my past mistakes but to always keep going.
The last coaster set is my mermaid set. I left the background white but didn't know ceramic was going to soak up the resin and leave a gray texture background.
I'm going to toss out the sticky one and the rest I could give it away or just keep to remind me to be patient. I'm not afraid to redo them because I enjoy creating but now I know what I did wrong I can make them better. What do you think I should do with these?
What would you do in a situation like this?
